The logic of a hair day

A salon visit is the one item you cannot rush, so plan around it. The service decides the length of the day: a cut is usually shorter, while a perm or color is longer. We do not publish exact durations, and the designer confirms the time for your service, so keep your plan flexible and put the salon first.

Three sample plans

Plan A: cut and a café

Arrive at opening, when the salon starts at 10:00. Have a cut, then spend the rest of the morning on a café stop and a walk. Reference price: women’s cut ₩25,000 or men’s cut from ₩20,000.

Plan B: color and rest

Choose a morning start for full-head color. Color can take a long time. Leave the afternoon empty, and use a café as a place to sit while your hair settles. Women’s full-head color starts at ₩85,000, men’s full-head color at ₩75,000.

Plan C: perm day

A perm is usually among the longer services. Make it your only plan for the day. Standard perm from ₩75,000, heat perm (열펌) from ₩125,000. The final price depends on the designer, length and condition.

Choosing the café stop

We do not recommend a specific café, and we make no claim about what is close to the salon. Use your map app to search around Jangsan Station Exit 5, or around your next destination. Pick a place with seats, since you may want to rest. Check its opening hours in the app before you go, because hours differ and we cannot vouch for any of them. If you have just had color or a perm, a quiet seat is easier than a long walk.

A simple timeline template

  1. Before: eat something light, bring a charged phone and photos of your target style.
  2. Salon: go through your photos and hair history with the designer. Confirm the price.
  3. After: take a seat somewhere and let the day slow down.
  4. Later: if you have a color or a perm, avoid swimming or a very sweaty activity that evening unless the designer says it is fine.
  5. Evening: keep plans easy, so you can wash your hair the way your designer advises.

Practical details

  • Take Busan Metro Line 2 to Jangsan Station, then walk 71 m from Exit 5. Check the route in a planner.
  • The 2nd floor is stairs only. Leave heavy bags behind.
  • If you drive, the building’s car park gives the first 2 hours free. From it, take the elevator to the 1st floor, go toward the Tomato Donkatsu (토마토돈까스) passage, exit, then take the stairs on the left up to the 2nd floor. Ask the salon about longer stays.
  • The last start time for services is not published. Start long services early.

What to read next

Dress for comfort. Wear something easy to change out of if color or bleach is planned, and bring a light layer, because salons can feel cool. Charge your phone before you go, since you will use it for photos, maps and messages. Carry water and a snack for long services, because the exact length is only known once the designer has seen your hair.
