What a scalp treatment usually involves

A scalp treatment cares for the skin under your hair, not only the hair itself. In most salons it starts with a look at the scalp, then a deep cleanse to lift oil, dead skin and product residue. A soothing or conditioning step often follows, and a scalp massage is common.

The exact steps differ from salon to salon. Your WENEED designer explains what the Scalp clinic includes for your scalp before you agree to it. We do not list a fixed running time, so ask when you arrive.

Who a scalp treatment suits

Guests usually ask for scalp care for ordinary, everyday reasons:

• The scalp gets oily within a day, even after washing.
• The scalp feels tight or dry, or the hair looks flat at the roots.
• Styling products, sunscreen or sweat seem to build up.
• You want a clean, comfortable scalp before a perm or color.

This is salon care, not medical treatment. If you have constant itching, pain, a rash or sore patches, see a doctor or dermatologist first. Tell your designer about any skin condition before the service.

The Scalp clinic on the WENEED menu

The menu item is called Scalp clinic (두피 클리닉) and costs ₩120,000 on Jin’s price sheet. We only have it listed on Jin’s sheet, so do not assume the price or availability is the same with every designer. Ask which designer will carry out the service when you arrange your visit.

What to prepare and what to tell the designer

A short, clear note helps more than a long one. Before you sit down, think about these points:

1. How often you wash, and what usually bothers you: oil, flakes, tightness or itch.
2. Any color, bleach or perm in the last few months, with rough dates.
3. Allergies or skin reactions to hair products.
4. Whether you want only scalp care or also a cut or color on the same day.

You can type these notes on your phone and show the screen. Photos of your scalp or hairline are also useful if the problem comes and goes.

Combining scalp care with other services

Many guests pair scalp care with a cut. A clean scalp can make it easier for the designer to see your natural hair direction and density. If you are planning a perm or color, ask whether the scalp should be treated before, after or on a separate day. The designer decides based on how sensitive your scalp looks.

Aftercare in general

General advice after any scalp service, which your designer may adjust:

• Use a gentle shampoo and lukewarm water.
• Avoid scratching the scalp, and avoid heavy styling products for a day or two.
• Dry the scalp fully, because a damp scalp can feel uncomfortable.
• Stop and ask a professional if the scalp becomes red or sore.

Reaching the salon

WENEED Haeundae is on the 2nd floor of Sejong World Plaza Building B, 71 m from Jangsan Station Exit 5 on Busan Metro Line 2. The floor is reached by stairs only, with no elevator.
