Prices are taken from our salon menu (October 2026). “From” means the lowest price on the menu; the final price depends on the designer, hair length and condition. Your designer confirms the final price before work starts.

What magic straight does

A magic straight perm (매직) uses a smoothing solution and heat to straighten wavy, frizzy or puffy hair. The result is sleek hair that stays straight until it grows out, which is why many people use it to avoid daily flat-ironing.

It is different from a curl perm because it removes bend rather than adding it. Wavy hair, curly hair and hair with a strong cowlick can all be smoothed, though very tight curls may take a longer plan. If you would like smooth hair that keeps some lift, read the volume magic page too.

Full head, roots only or with setting

• Magic straight perm (from ₩140,000): treats the full length. The price depends on designer, length and condition.
• Root magic (₩100,000): for hair that was straightened before and has grown out, so only the new growth is treated.
• Magic + setting (₩150,000): straightens, then sets a shape such as ends that bend slightly.

If your hair is naturally straight but you want a bend at the ends, ask about the setting version.

When root magic makes sense

New hair grows in with your natural texture, so the root area looks different after a few months. Root magic treats only that section so the old straightened hair is not exposed again. Designers usually check where the old and new hair meet. If you are not sure when you were last straightened, say so, since the designer will look at the hair itself.

Hair history to share

Straightening is demanding, and the combination of earlier treatments matters.

• Bleach or strong color, with dates.
• Previous perms or straightening, and which part of the hair they covered.
• Breakage, white-looking ends or a stretchy feel when wet.

Straight hair care

In general, avoid tying the hair tightly or tucking it behind the ears right after treatment, because bends can set into straightened hair. Wash with a mild shampoo, use a conditioner for treated hair, and dry with warm air. Expect your roots to show natural texture as they grow, and plan root work with the designer.

Hair that has been straightened can feel lighter and look shinier, but it also shows damage more clearly. A regular trim every so often keeps the ends tidy, and your designer can suggest a rhythm that suits your length. Humid weather does not undo the straightening, though it can make untreated new growth frizz.
