Haeundae vs Seomyeon: where to get your hair done in Busan

The short answer

Both areas have many hair salons, and both are served by Busan Metro Line 2. The better choice depends on where you stay, where you spend the rest of your day and what you want done. Compare the way you will travel, the salon’s published prices and the hours, not the district name.

This page compares the two areas in general terms. It does not compare any salon in Seomyeon with this one, and it makes no claim about other salons.

How the two areas differ

• Seomyeon: a dense commercial district in central Busan. It is a major interchange of Busan Metro Lines 1 and 2, so it is easy to reach from many parts of the city. There are many shops, cafés and salons close together.
• Haeundae-gu: a district on Busan’s east side, known for its beach and for the stations along Line 2 such as Haeundae, Jangsan and Centum City. Salons are spread across the district rather than in one dense block.

These are general descriptions. Streets, shop mix and crowds change over time, so check a current map before you decide.

Which area suits which kind of trip

• You are staying on the east side of Busan: a salon in Haeundae-gu saves you from crossing the city. Use a route planner to compare the actual trip from your lodging.
• You are staying in central Busan or passing through the interchange: Seomyeon can fit more easily into a day of shopping.
• You live in the Jangsan or Haeundae area: a salon on your own line is simpler for regular visits, such as cuts and root touch-ups.

We do not state travel times, because they depend on where you start and on the time of day.

What to compare besides location

Whichever area you choose, compare the same things:

• Published prices. WENEED Haeundae lists its menu, for example a women’s cut at ₩25,000, a standard perm from ₩75,000 and women’s full-head color from ₩85,000. See the price list.
• Hours. WENEED Haeundae is open every day 10:00–20:00.
• Access. The salon is on the 2nd floor and reached by stairs only. Check the same point for any salon with luggage or a stroller.
• The service you need. Cuts, perms, color and treatments are all on the menu.

About WENEED Haeundae

WENEED Haeundae is at Room 251, 2F Sejong World Plaza Building B, 814 Haeundae-ro, Haeundae-gu. It is 71 m from Jangsan Station Exit 5, about a 1-minute walk, next to the Paris Baguette building. If you drive, guests can use the building’s car park and the first 2 hours are free.

The salon is in the Jangsan area. It is not on the beachfront, and we do not give distances to the beach, Haeundae Station or Centum City. The location and directions page has the route.

2. Check the metro or taxi route for each area with a route planner.
3. Pick the area with the smoother day, then compare the salons there by price, hours and service.
