How a salon visit fits into a short trip
A hair appointment is easy to add to a trip if you plan it in advance. Decide first what you want: a quick tidy-up, a new color, a perm that will still look good when you fly home, or care for hair that has dried out after travel.
The salon is open every day, 10:00–20:00, so you are not forced to give up a weekend or a holiday. Because Korean salons are built around one designer working with one guest, ask the designer how much time your plan needs before you fix other plans on the same day.
If your trip is only a few days, keep the service simple. A cut is the safest choice for a short stay. Color, bleach and perms are often longer visits, and some plans are split over more than one visit. Read the sections below, then check the hair services menu for the full list.
Services that suit a travel schedule
- Cut: a women’s cut is ₩25,000 and a men’s cut starts from ₩20,000. See the haircut price page for every cut on the menu.
- Color: women’s full-head color starts from ₩85,000 and men’s from ₩75,000. A root touch-up starts from ₩60,000 and is a smaller job than a full color.
- Perm: a standard perm starts from ₩75,000. A perm is a bigger commitment than a cut, so read the notes on timing before you book one near the end of a trip.
- Care: hair clinic and repair items run from ₩89,000 to ₩180,000, and a scalp clinic is ₩120,000 on Jin’s price sheet.
These are menu prices from one salon. The final price depends on the designer, your hair length and its condition, and the designer confirms it before work starts.
Timing a service around your itinerary
General rules that apply at most salons:
- Cut or perm early, or on a quiet day: if you want to see how a new shape behaves, do it with a few days left, not on your last evening. You can then ask the designer how to style it.
- Bleach and strong color well before a flight: lightened hair is more porous and can feel dry. Hot weather, sun and salt water add to that, so plan the color first and the beach days after, with gentle care in between.
- Leave room for a second visit: dark hair that you want to take much lighter often needs more than one session. Say this when you book your trip dates, not on the day.
If the sea is part of your trip, our page on summer sun and sea damage explains what repair options exist.
The stairs and your luggage
This matters for visitors. The salon is on the 2nd floor of Sejong World Plaza Building B, Room 251, 814 Haeundae-ro. There is no elevator to the salon floor: you go up by stairs only.
If you are arriving with a suitcase straight from a station or a hotel check-out, plan to leave heavy bags elsewhere first. Strollers and mobility aids also need to be considered, because the last part of the route cannot be done without stairs.
If you drive, guests can use the building’s car park, and the first 2 hours are free. From the underground car park, take the elevator to the 1st floor, head toward the Tomato Donkatsu (토마토돈까스) passage, exit, then take the stairs on the left up to the 2nd floor.
What to bring
- Two or three photos of the hair you want, ideally from the front, side and back.
- Your hair history: when you last colored, bleached, permed or straightened, written down with dates.
- Lengths in centimeters if you want a specific cut. Showing the length with your fingers also works.
- A note of any scalp sensitivity or past reactions to hair products.
Photos and a short hair-history note help any designer understand your goal, and they are easy to prepare on your phone. For more ideas, read how to explain your hairstyle to a Korean stylist.
Getting to Jangsan Station
The salon is in the Jangsan Station area, not on the beachfront. Jangsan is on Busan Metro Line 2, the same line that serves Haeundae and Centum City stations. We do not state travel times between the salon and any beach, hotel or other district, because they depend on where you start. Use a route planner with the address, or search for Jangsan Station Exit 5.
Once you leave Exit 5, the salon is 71 m away, about a 1-minute walk. The building is next to the Paris Baguette building, which is a useful landmark.
