Hair color trends in Korea this season
Korean color menus often feature soft browns such as milk tea brown, cool ash tones, deep blue-black and pastel shades, but trends shift quickly, so treat any list as a starting point. Women’s full-head color at WENEED Haeundae starts from ₩85,000 and men’s from ₩75,000.

How to read a trend list
A trend is a snapshot. Colors that people ask for change by season, by social feeds and by region, and we do not publish statistics on what is popular. Use the ideas below as a vocabulary for talking with a designer, not as a ranking. Because the heading says this season, check the date on any list you read, including this one, and compare it with recent photos.
What matters more than a trend is whether the shade suits your skin tone, your starting hair and how much upkeep you want. A soft shade on a dark base needs less work than a pale shade that needs bleach first.
Tone families you will see on Korean menus
- Soft browns: warm or neutral browns such as milk tea brown, which give a gentle change from black. See milk tea brown.
- Cool ash tones: gray-leaning shades that reduce warmth. They usually need hair to be lightened first. See ash color.
- Deep blue-black: a dark shade with a cool shine, which keeps hair dark but adds depth. See blue-black color.
- Pastels: light pink, lavender or mint shades, which need a very light base. See pastel pink.
- Vivid fashion colors: bold shades that need a light base and frequent care. See vivid fashion color.
Matching a trend to your starting hair
The key question is how much lifting your hair needs:
- Little or no lifting: dark browns, blue-black, tone-down colors. Lower strain on hair, and see tone-down color if your hair is too light now.
- Some lifting: milk tea brown or soft brown on dark hair may need a lightening step first.
- Much lifting: ash, pastel and vivid shades often need bleach, and sometimes more than one session.
The more lifting, the longer the plan and the more care your hair needs. Read bleaching black Asian hair in Korea if you start from black.

How to ask for a shade
- Bring two or three photos taken in daylight, since indoor light changes how a color looks.
- Say whether you want warm or cool, and how light or dark.
- Tell the designer your hair history, with dates.
- Ask how long the shade usually lasts and how to keep it. Tone often fades first, especially cool and pastel shades.
A trend photo may be edited, lit by studio lights or based on a wig or a filter, so ask the designer what a realistic version looks like on your hair. Also tell the designer how much upkeep you accept. Some shades need a root refresh within weeks. See hair color for services and prices.
After you color
General care: use a gentle shampoo made for colored hair, wash with lukewarm water, and limit hot tools. Dry or lightened hair may benefit from a care service, such as the basic hair clinic at ₩89,000.
WENEED Haeundae is open daily 10:00–20:00, 71 m from Jangsan Station Exit 5, at Room 251 on the 2nd floor, reached by stairs only.
